Seattle Chamber Music Discover Percussion for Kids! The Summer Festival is virtual this year, and this lovely workshop is available any time through August 17. A Magical Journey through the Solar System. This unique event is sponsored by the Museum of Flight! View the night sky, review some stargazing basics and blast off to explore the solar system through this online planetarium. Pre-register. Live at 1 p.m.

Science Saturday at the Library. Each week, discover different science concepts about chemistry, physics, and more! Want to learn about goop and pool noodles? Join in for some interesting answers to your most curious questions. Live at 2 p.m.

“Guess What” the Family-Friendly Stand Up Comedy Show. Enjoy a morning of laughs with the fam as (family-friendly) NYC comics perform online and kids get a chance to tell jokes between sets. Pre-register. Live at 10 a.m on Saturday.

Seeing | Seeds | Stories – Online Art Gallery. Celebrate and learn about Seattle Japanese Garden’s Kanreki, or 60th year celebration. In Japanese culture, a person’s 60th birthday is an occasion of reaching full circle that carries a sense of renewal. Join Seattle Japanese Garden and the Miller Library in welcoming five local artists, featured on the website all month. Access online all through the month of August.

Frye From Home! The Frye Art Museum presents fun art projects to do at home! Grab supplies like straws, dish soap and food coloring and make beautiful bubble prints on paper! Then, read a story about monsters who are afraid of bubbles.
