You don’t even have to go to your child’s school to get that advice because the Seattle-based League of Education Voters is hosting a free webinar on Thursday, Sept. 11 where members of the Washington School Counselor Association will share their ideas and strategies for starting the year off right. The question of the hour? How can parents and teachers ensure every student in Washington feels safe, supported, and ready to thrive?
The interactive webinar feature Lauren Mendez, counselor association CEO, as well as a panel of award-winning school counselors from across Washington. Together, they’ll share proven strategies to build strong relationships, foster belonging, and set the tone for a successful academic year.
Adults don’t have all the ansnwers, which is why the event will also bring, students to the table to share their views on what staff should consider as the dive into a new school year with students.
