On Monday, Google surprised teachers across the region with a "flash funding" event through DonorsChoose.org, a nonprofit website where teachers can post the things they need most for their classrooms, and donors can support their favorite projects.

In an unprecedented move, Google announced that they would fund every single classroom project in King, Pierce and Snohomish Counties. This endeavor will be approximately $315,000 in paper, pencils, books, tablets, instruments, field trips and other supplies.

The kids and teachers at Highland Park Elementary School in Seattle had a surprise Monday morning when Google representatives delivered the materials they had requested through DonorsChoose.org.
