Seattle Center is hosting this year’s Iranian Festival on Saturday, August 8. This year's festival, the ninth in a row, features awesome Iranian cultural exhibitions, art, and live performances by Iranian artists.
The festival will feature classical Persian music by artists Sahba Motallebi, Vandad Massahzadeh and Mehdi Bagheri; dances inspired by Iranian folklore performed by the Vancouver Pars National Ballet; illustrations by Iranian artist Hamid Rahmanian for the Persian epic the Book of Kings; and workshops on Persian calligraphy and language.
Iranian-American stand-up comic K-Von will also perform; the festival will screen his documentary film on Persian New Year, “Nowruz: Lost & Found,” on August 9 at the Bellevue Branch of the King County Library.
