This year’s BrasilFest centers on Tropicália, a musical and cultural movement that brings together indigenous, African, and Portuguese cultural traditions.

The event features dance and Capoeira performances; a Brazilian food exhibition; musical performances by Brazilian artists Monoclub, Batucada Yemanjá, Tambor e Cordas, Passarim, Full Bus, Grupo Amoroso and Choro Tocando; an art exhibition; a documentary film screening; and a culminating parade.

Admission is free; the festival runs from 12 pm to 7 pm on Sunday, August 16. Seattle Center Armory, 305 Harrison St, Seattle, 98109
