The National Park Foundation announced that a new initiative, Every Kid in a Park, will allow all 4th graders living in the U.S. to access all U.S. national parks, national forests, and national wildlife refuges for the entirety of the 2015-2015 school year.

Your 4th grader, along with the rest of your fam, can enter into the parks for free; if you sign up to pledge support for the Every Kid in a Park initiative, you’ll receive a free guide, “Parks For Play: 35 National Park Adventures for Kids of All Ages.”

The initiative kicks off on September 1st and runs through the end of the 2015-2016 school year. Check out our tips for planning a trip to a national park while you’re at it!
