Hey, beginner hikers and families with young kids: Twin Falls Trail is calling your name.  The original trailhead, closed a few years bac due to a landslide-damaged trail section, has been repaired and the trails are all fully accessible.

Drive east for 40 minutes on I-90 to Exit 38 and the Homestead Valley trailhead (Don’t forget your Discover Pass). Double-knot your walking shoes and follow the Iron Horse Trail for one-third of a mile to the junction with Twin Falls Trail. Tree canopies, gentle hills, and switchbacks will take you one mile farther to the breathtaking double falls.

Pack in a picnic and your camera to get your photo op for the holiday card.
