Parents, children and community leaders are encouraged to come to Olympia this Tuesday, February 16th to rally and meet with legislators to advocate for issues critical to the health and well-being of our kids, including:
- Fully restore TANF income assistance to thousands of families struggling to meet their basic needs
- Authorize dental therapists for greater access to oral health care
- Prevent thousand of kids from being stuck on a waitlist for early learning opportunities
- Invest in kids with fair, equitable, sustainable resources

The event goes from 10 am – 3 pm, with registration starting at 9:30. The agenda includes "New Advocate Training" from 10:30-11;15 am, a rally and march at 11:30 where kids will lead chants backed by Tacoma’s Lincoln High School Drumline, speakers on the need for and power of advocacy, and appointments with legislators 1 – 3 pm. ā
The event is free and lunch is provided.
