Leave your car, take your stroller and set your sights on Bainbridge Island’s Winslow neighborhood, which offers a quaint, small-town setting with plenty for families to see, do and eat. And with a scenic 35-minute ferry ride out of Downtown Seattle, getting there is half the fun. Here are some of our favorite Winslow spots, all easily reached on foot.
Bainbridge Island Museum of Art
BIMA is a delightful small museum in an elegant building is full of natural light. It sits close to the ferry landing, is free to visit and the rotating space in the main gallery is always curated with young people in mind -well worth including in your Winslow visit. biartmuseum.org

Kids Discovery Museum
Kids 7 and younger will love KiDiMu’s pirate treehouse, art studio, fun with physics, and “town” complete with kid-size doctor’s office, grocery store, bank and more. Admission is $8 for children older than 12 months. kidimu.org

Hitchcock Deli
