Families Invited to the “Talking Trash: Saving Money and the Environment” Community Forum

Join Pacific Science Center, Seattle City Council and Zero Waste Seattle as they discuss how to save money and the environment by reducing excess packaging during a free community forum on Thursday, Jan. 27, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the NewHolly Gathering Hall, located at 7054 32nd Ave. S. in Seattle. Light dinner and refreshments will be provided.

Hear from a panel of local innovators working to curb packaging waste and share your own experience and ideas for policies on waste reduction in Seattle. This forum is the first in a series of discussions that will encourage community input on different aspects of the City Council's priority issue of carbon neutrality.

Children are welcome to attend this event. Pacific Science Center's Science On Wheels program is providing a free, hands-on science activity for children ages 5 and older whose caregivers attend the forum. Space is limited; call 206-443-2896 or visit www.pacificsciencecenter.org to register.
