Sure, we’re technically headed into summer in this hemisphere, but Seattle parents know it’s always wise to keep several indoor-activity ideas in their back pockets. And there’s no activity more active (read: exhausting) for kids than splashing about in a swimming pool.
Of course, wearing out the young ones is not without some amount of effort on your part. There’s the change of clothing, the locker room assists, the pool toys (where allowed) and the schlepping of lunch or snacks (not to mention the odd neighborhood friend or two who might have begged to accompany you).
Depending upon the pool and the ages of your kids, you may also be required to get in with them, but there are worse ways to spend some time with the family! We’ve done the research for you, so make a note of the swimming pools most convenient to your neighborhood all around the Seattle area, and tuck that list in your back pocket!
Note: Everyone these days seems to have staffing issues, and area pools are no exception. Please be patient when you find open hours adjusted to allow for adequate and safe pool staffing.
