Choo choo choose your Halloween train ride to celebrate the spooky season. Dress your child in their best Halloween costume and ride the rails. Offering a scenic view of the changing fall colors, celebrate the holiday with themed activities and special treats for the whole family to enjoy. Think music, pumpkin picking, fall foods, and lots of candy.

Halloween Train: Eastside

Halloween Train at Northwest Railway Museum

TRAIN IS SOLD OUT

Date/Time: October 12-13, 19-20 and 26-27. 11 a.m., 1 p.m., or 3 p.m.

Location: Trains depart from the Snoqualmie Depot or the North Bend Depot.

Cost: $32 for adults; $28 for seniors 62 and older; $16 for children ages 2–12; children one and younger ride free on a lap. Buy tickets for Snoqualmie or North Bend.

Trick or treat yourself to the Halloween train! It’s that time of year to hop aboard the Northwest Railway Museum’s Halloween Train for a 2-hour round trip experience. Change into those costumes, enjoy a fall-decorated ride through the scenic Snoqualmie Valley, and then enjoy music at the Train Shed provided by Eric Ode. All children will receive a small gift.

 

Fall Steam Train Excursions at the Northwest Railway Museum

Date/Time: November 2-3, 2024. 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.

Location: Trains depart the Snoqualmie Depot or the North Bend Depot.

Cost: $38 for adults, $32 for seniors 62 and older, $19 for children ages 2–12; children 1 and younger ride free on a lap. Buy tickets for North Bend Depot or Snoqualmie.

This two-hour, round-trip train ride offers beautiful scenic views of the Snoqualmie Valley in the passenger car of the historic steam train. There will be a planned stop at the Railway History Center, where you will get the chance to visit the Train Shed Hall Exhibit.

Halloween Train: South of Seattle

Pumpkin Train at Chehalis Centralia Railroad

Date/Time: October 19-20. 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. 

Location: The train departs from the Chehalis Centralia Railroad and Museum.

Cost: $18 for ages 5 and older; kids 4 and younger ride free. Buy tickets here.

All aboard the Pumpkin Train at the Chehalis Centralia Railroad and Museum. Celebrate fall with this harvest-themed activity featuring a scenic fall train ride through the Chehalis River Valley, Halloween treats, and a chance for kids (up to age 15) to pick their own pumpkin from the meadow near the railyard.

 

Family Halloween Train at Elbe Depot

Date/Time: October 19-20 and 25-27. 10 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 4:30 p.m. 

Location: Trains depart from Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad’s Elbe Depot.

Cost: $38 for adults; $19 for youth ages 2–17; tots ages 2 and younger ride free. Buy tickets here.

Travel from Elbe Depot to their museum in your Halloween costume. Once you arrive at the museum, enjoy Halloween activities like trick-or-treating in their log camp, picking your very own pumpkin from their patch, or taking a hay ride. Their historic train features an open-air car, two historic Pullman passenger coaches, and a baggage car that is set up as a gift shop and concession stand.

Halloween Train: West of Seattle

Ghost Train 2024 

Date/Time: Saturday, October 26. 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. 

Location: South Kitsap Regional Park, 2729 Jackson Ave SE, Port Orchard, WA 98366

Cost: $7 for general admission (3+) online, $10 at the gate, and $25 for skip-the-line VIP. Buy tickets here. 

Come and ride the train through the spooky park. Visit trick-or-treat booths in the park, and indulge in some yummy food options, including hot dogs, grilled cheese, pastries, coffee, and kettle corn. The train ride is about 10 to 15 minutes long and welcomes children and adults to take a ride and see the displays along the track.
