A sweet, bee-themed playground to explore in Bellevue

A buzzing play space with room to explore

Tucked behind Hidden Valley Playfields in Bellevue, this hidden gem playground gives kids plenty of ways to climb, explore, and stay busy.

Redesigned Spring 2025, you’ll immediately see why this playground is getting buzz. Honeycomb-inspired climbing structures in bright yellows and oranges, with interconnected pods that move kids from one section to the next like busy little bees.

One of the biggest wins here is the thoughtful layout. The playground is split into distinct areas for toddlers and older kids, so families can spread out while still keeping everyone within view. The toddler zone offers lower-to-the-ground structures, while the “big kid” side brings more challenge.

In fact, this is a great playground for kids who aren’t quite ready for sky-high play structures. While you won’t find towering slides, the design leans into movement in other ways: climbing nets, ladders, and connected walkways.

Beyond the main structures, there’s a solid mix of classic and modern play features. Swings include standard seats, bucket swings, and a saucer swing. Kids can spin, balance, crawl through log tunnels, or test their coordination on balance beams.

Another standout feature: a communication board designed to support kids with language differences, adding an inclusive element that makes the space more welcoming for all families.

All told, Hidden Valley Playground may not be the tallest or most adrenaline-packed park around — but what it lacks in height, it makes up for in thoughtful design, accessibility, and plenty of opportunities for active, creative play.
