We’re making dad a super silly monster bookmark to gift him for Father’s Day. Be sure to add it to his favorite book!

Supplies for a Monster Bookmark:

  • pipe cleaners

  • googly eyes

  • cardstock paper

  • glue – glue dots or spot work great for this

  • hole punch

  • scissors or paper cutting tool

Cut a rectangle out of cardstock paper, 3 inch x 5 1/2 inch.

In the center of the rectangle, cut out the floppy nose. With a pair of scissors or a paper cutting tool, make 2 slices down the center, about 1 inch from each side and about 2 inches from top to bottom.

Use scissors to connect one end of the two cuts to make a floppy nose, rounding off the corners of the nose using scissors.

For the eyes, add a glue dot to the back of a googly eye and add it to the top of the floppy nose. You can add 1, 2, 3 googly eyes for your monster.

Punch a hole at the top of the bookmark and thread a pipe cleaner through.  Twist the pipe cleaner together and bend or curl the ends to give it a silly look.

Now it’s ready to mark a book! If this is a gift for Father’s day, you can write a special note on the front or back of the bookmark, or even add stickers or ribbon to give it some flair.
