Seattle is host to some seriously cool kids’ playspaces. A handful of play centers around town also cater to grownup needs, featuring more extensive menus and beverage service. While the kids get their wiggles out, you can relax with a snack (or full meal!) and a drink in hand.
Another Castle Arcade
Edmonds’ Another Castle is a sweet arcade that’s adjacent to Another Castle’s game store. This all-ages venue features a robust selection of arcade games, so video game enthusiasts will be able to find a game that they dig. Another Castle serves bottled beer, but no wine or spirits.

Mox Boarding House
Inside Ballard’s Card Kingdom is the lovely Mox Boarding House, a cafe with small bites, salads, and sandwiches. Best of all, you can borrow board games from Card Kingdom to play while you nosh!

Round1 Bowling & Amusement
Seated in the Southcenter mall, Round1 is an all-ages bowling and arcade game venue with so many awesome games, you’ll want to dive into the fun alongside your kids. They’ve got a truly massive game selection and a fairly extensive menu that’s mostly tailored to younger tastes (pizza, hot dogs, nachos, and cheeseburgers), but their options for draft and bottled beer as well as wine and sake mixed drinks more than make up for it.

GameWorks
Mega game complex GameWorks is a space where kids can play video games while parents nosh and drink. Pop by during happy hour from 3 to 7 pm.

Mox Boarding House
Sister location to the one in Seattle, the Bellevue Mox Boarding House features a slightly different menu and 20 beers on tap.

PlayDate SEA
PlayDate SEA is a kids’ play haven designed with parents in mind. In the words of the owners, “we created PlayDate to have an environment that could be enjoyed by both parents and their children.” The space offers a seemingly endless maze of play structures for kids, as well as an extensive menu with plenty of kid-centric picks. Their beer and wine menu rotates.
Hours: Sun through Thurs, 9 am to 8 pm; Fri and Sat, 9 am to 9 pm. Open play closes at 6 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays for laser tag.
