Webinar explores 30+ years of student outcomes in SPS

Unpacking decades of education data and impact

Join the League of Education Voters (LEV) for a timely and insightful LEVinar on Thursday, April 24, focused on how student outcomes in Seattle Public Schools have evolved from 1990 to 2024—and what we can learn for the future.

Vivian van Gelder, Director of Policy and Research at the Southeast Seattle Education Coalition (SESEC), will share findings from over a decade of research, culminating in a powerful new report. The webinar will explore how decentralization has led to what SESEC describes as ā€œ100 plus separate school systems,ā€ and offer recommendations for addressing the education inequities that have emerged as a result.

Whether you’re an educator, policymaker, parent, or advocate, this free webinar will provide historical context, thoughtful analysis, and a path forward toward a more equitable public education system in Seattle.
