Seattle Public Schools welcomes comments from the community on the student assignment transition plan for the 2011-2012 school year. Comments are accepted via e-mail, to newassign@seattleschools.org; via letter to the Seattle Public Schools office; or via public testimony at the school board meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m. at the John Stanford Center (2445 3rd Ave. S. in Seattle).
A new student assignment plan was approved in 2009 and implementation began in 2010. An annual transition plan is developed to identify steps to be taken each year to move toward full implementation. This second transition plan will determine assignments for the 2011‐2012 school year.
