Camp Korey will hosts its fourth annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 13, and Sunday, Oct. 14, at the historic Carnation Farm, located at 28901 N.E. Carnation Farm Road. Camp Korey offers year-round activities for children who face life-altering medical conditions, many of whom receive care at Seattle Children's. Sales of pumpkins and a wide assortment of fresh local produce will support ongoing medical programs for young campers, who get to attend Camp Korey at no cost.
The public is invited to access the fields and gardens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors can enjoy family-friendly activities including wagon rides, cooking demonstrations, farm animals and tours of the 100-year-old farm. Camp Korey staff will showcase the organization's commitment to whole food nutrition and sustainable organic farming as a foundation of its therapeutic recreation programs. Celebrity chefs and farm and garden experts will be on hand to share tips on cooking, storing and canning, just in time for the long winter ahead.
