Ten Cleveland High School students will take the stage at a school assembly on Friday, Feb. 11, to share their sometimes heartbreaking stories of bullying and bigotry and how they dealt with the situations. The students, who have been participating in workshops this week, will be included as part of USA Network TV's Characters Unite Tour, an ongoing campaign to fight hate and discrimination by promoting tolerance and acceptance.
The tour is a joint initiative of the USA Network and The Moth, a nonprofit storytelling organization that aims to combat prejudice and discrimination through storytelling. Clips of the Cleveland student stories will be available on USA Network's web site at a later date. Cleveland High School is the third school to participate in the five-city national tour.
