Congratulations PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest Winners

 

Congratulations to the winners of the 2011 PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest, a competition that encourages children in kindergarten through third grade to celebrate the power of creating stories and illustrations by submitting their own original works.

The winners are as follows:

Kindergarten
First Place: "The Dragon at the Park" by Mina Gabriel of Kirkland
Honorable Mention: "Robot Visits Earth" by Neel Garde of Redmond

First Grade
First Place: "Amy's Paragliding Adventure" by Nupur Gorkar of Bellevue
Honorable Mention: "The Little Science Fairy" by Kira de Morsella of Bellevue

Second Grade
First Place: "General Roboto-Kiss and the Super Tasty Chocolate Bar" by Jack Mercs of Vancouver, B.C.
Honorable Mention: "Fairy World" by Brianna Nelson of Renton

Third Grade
First Place: "Frank and George Save the Day" by Jack Gardner of Lake Stevens
Honorable Mention: "I Learned My Lesson" by Michelle Jung Hyun Kim of Bellevue
