Love is in the air, and we’re here to celebrate! Here are family-friendly Valentine’s events and activities happening around Seattle.

Friday, February 14

Valentine’s Party | Friday, February 14 | 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. | We Be Book’n | $10 per child | Come join Empowered Early Learning for a Valentine’s Day-themed party with crafts, snacks, and stories at this kid-friendly event. Designed for children 2-6.

Valentine’s Day Story Time | Friday, February 14 | 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. | My Gym Kent | $10 for nonmembers, free for members | Register here | Join Valentine’s Day activities including games, gymnastics, playtime, and themed Storytime. Designed for kids 6 months to 10 years old (parent-supervised event).

Valentine’s Day Fun in the Park | Friday, February 14 | 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Westlake Park | Free | Stop by the park and grab a sweet treat or make a free floral bouquet or card for a loved one, in partnership with Goldenrod Floral Design and SilverKite Community Arts.

Adult and Child Valentine’s Cookie DecoratingFriday, February 14 | 1 to 2 p.m. | Old Fire House Teen Center | $16+ | Tickets here | All supplies will be provided, and registrants can expect to go home with sugar cookies to enjoy together or give as a gift. This activity is designed for children ages 4-8 and their designated adult guest(s). Must register to attend.

Finger Print Love Art | Friday, February 14 | 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. | Fall City Library | Free | Share a story together, then do some finger printing to make people and animals.

Valentine’s Day “You Rock” Paint Party | Friday, February 14 | 4 to 5 p.m. | Burien Library | Free | Paint and decorate rocks to give to your friends and family for Valentine’s Day. Supplies provided. Ages 7 and younger with an adult.

Light-up Valentine’s Day Cards | Friday, February 14 | 4 to 5:30 p.m. | Enumclaw Library | Free | Make an LED-powered Valentine’s Day card. This event is tailored for tweens and teens (ages 9 to 12) and doesn’t require registration. First come, first served while supplies last.

Valentine’s Day  | Friday, February 14 | 4 to 7 p.m. | KidsQuest Children’s Museum | $16 for non-members, free for members | Tickets here |  A full museum takeover with activities that dive into science and love. At this super science night love lab, you will decorate a cookie, make a love boat and taste test a love drop. Mr. Bri Guy will be performing love songs at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, February 15

Valentine’s Truck Kids Class | Saturday, February 15 | 10 to 11:30 a.m. | Wine & Design | $35 per child | Register here | Kids explore their inner creativity by joining this painting lesson. All canvases are lightly pre-sketched to get your child started. There will be refreshments for the kiddos and all supplies are provided. Be sure to dress your child in paint-friendly clothing for this class.

Hearts and Hounds | Saturday, February 15 | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Kirkland Urban | Free | Join this Valentine’s Day event with your furry pets and family, packed with fun activities, including Valentine’s Day-themed craft stations for humans AND dogs, a photo booth, a live DJ and much more.

PDZA Love at the Zoo | Saturday, February 15 & Sunday, February 16 | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium | Free with zoo admission | Tickets here | Watch animals enjoy Valentine-themed enrichments like heart-shaped ice treats, bamboo hearts, whipped cream, watermelon, and more. Find the 12 big heart cutouts in a zoo scavenger hunt. Kids can also send a special furry friend through the zoo-themed Valentine’s activity.
