The wait is finally over: Shake Shack is coming to Seattle! Soon you can experience ShackBurgers, crinkle cut fries and frozen custard (to name a few) in the Emerald City.

The Manhattan-based company only has a few West Coast outposts as of right now in LA and Las Vegas—but, according to the Seattle Met, Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti has wanted to open a Seattle location for a long time coming.  Garutti has a deep Seattle connection, he serves on the board of directors for Canlis.  Garutti previously worked at the restaurant as a general manager working the front door for nearly two years.

The new Seattle location will be in a building at 2115 Westlake Ave in South Lake Union. The future Shake Shack Seattle currently houses Wheelhouse Coffee, and until recently a dental practice.

Now comes the hard part; the waiting game. The Shake Shack location is slated to open mid-2018.  When they open, we'll all be waiting in line. See you there!
