Kids eat free: Help Soi celebrate new Kirkland location

The restaurant offers a free kids meal through Oct. 15.

Kids eat free. Are there three more beautiful words?

Yuie and Gabe Wiborg are marking the opening of their second Soi restaurant by offering free kids meals through Oct. 15.

Soi, already at 1400 10th Ave. E. on Seattle’s Capitol Hill, specializes in cuisine from the northeastern Isan region of Thailand, described as being more fragrant and pungent than typical Bangkok-style Thai dishes.

The new location is at Kirkland Urban, 425 Urban Plaza Suite 285.

Chef Yuie is also a mom and knows some of her dishes are more spicy than kids like, so there is a special kids menu at Soi, plus house-made watermelon soda and craft lemonade.

As part of Soi Kirkland’s opening, from Sept. 15-Oct. 15, kids (up to age 14) will receive a free bowl of egg or rice noodles with steamed chicken, topped with crispy garlic and cilantro with any regular-priced specialties or plates purchase (for in-person dining only).
