Let Them Eat Ice Cream

Residents of Capitol Hill saw their sweet dreams come true this January, as Full Tilt’s fifth Seattle location opened on 15th Street. A work in progress for the past three years, Full Tilt finally opened their Cap Hill doors in an old Starbucks location—bright, spacious and full of treats for kiddos and adults alike.

Inside, new and vintage arcade and pinball machines line the walls, between eclectic pop culture art and other whimsical décor. Large tables give kids plenty of room to spread out with activities and the outdoor patio is sure to be a huge hit on sunny days.

All the incredible flavors of ice cream that made Full Tilt a household name around Seattle years ago, are available here—including perennial favorites Mexican Chocolate, Mudhoney, and Salted Caramel. New to the lineup at this location is Full Tilt soft serve, made daily from all-natural ingredients. Don’t forget that they offer some of the best vegan ice cream in town, too.

If you and your kids are hungry for more than ice cream, Wandering Goose is just up the road, offering incredible Southern soul food (not to mention some of the best biscuits in Seattle). To make a day of it, follow up your ice cream with a trip to nearby local favorite, Elliott Bay Book Company, to get lost for hours in their cozy aisles of thoughtfully-chosen books.
