New Jan Brett book: ‘Alice in a Winter Wonderland’

The author will be in the Seattle area on her December bus tour.

Children’s author Jan Brett is celebrating the release of her new book, ā€œAlice in a Winter Wonderland,ā€ with a national bus tour – and she’s coming to the Northwest!

Brett is known for classics such as ā€œThe Mitten,ā€ ā€œThe Nutcrackerā€ and ā€œThe Snowy Nap.ā€

In the new book, which comes out Nov. 26, Brett puts a new spin on a beloved tale. The characters from ā€œAlice in Wonderlandā€ are reimagined as animals native to Alaska.

The Cheshire Cat, Duchess, King and Queen will still have their absurd personalities, wild antics and silliness, but they’ll be in the Alaskan tundra.

To celebrate, Brett is hopping a bus with a 23-city itinerary. Here are the local stops:

Brett is the author/illustrator of more than 40 picture books for young children. They are often inspired by nature and her travels. She lives on the Massachusetts coast. Learn more on her website.
