Nordstrom wants every kid to have Shoes That Fit for back to school

Here's how you can help the Seattle-based retailer outfit some 25,000 kids with a brand-new, properly fitting pair of shoes for the first day of school.

Seattle-based Nordstrom wants to help kids start the year off on the right foot by joining with the nonprofitShoes That Fitto give away 25,000 pairs of brand-new, properly fitting shoes to students in low-income households.Through Sept.15, shoppers at any U.S. Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack or on nordstrom.com can purchase a$10 Shoes That Fit giving card that will go toward buying a new pair of sneakersfor a child in need.

Since 2010, Nordstrom has partnered with Shoes That Fit to donate more than 165,000 pairs of shoes to children across the country.

Also, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, August 17, Nordstrom invites families to a special event in the kid’s shoe department at the downtown Seattle Nordstrom. When customers purchase a new pair, they will receive free shoe personalization designed by a local artist; refreshments will be served.
