Seattle Public Schools Symposium: Supporting Your Student’s Success

A Family and Community Engagement Symposium, sponsored by Seattle Public Schools, the Alliance for Education and more, will be held on Saturday, March 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ballard High School (1418 N.W. 65th St. in Seattle). Families are invited to attend free workshops to learn how to help support student academic achievement at home, school and around the community.

Various break-out sessions will present parents with research-based practices and strategies. There will be workshops on early learning, special education, math, literacy, advanced learning, college readiness and more. There will also be a community resource fair.

A light lunch will be served, and supervised child activities and transportation are provided upon request. For more information about the symposium, call 206-252-0693 or visit the Seattle Public Schools web site.
