Wading pools are open: 11 places to dip your toes

Wading pools are open for summer 2021! Find one near you.

Wading pools are a summertime must for parents with young children. Shallow, bordered, and usually within toddling distance of a playground, they’re a perfect solution to a hot afternoon. Seattle is opening 11 of its wading pools starting June 26, 2021 (unless otherwise noted), so break out the bathing suits and head for one near you. (And check out these 15 Seattle-area spray parks)!

Details:

At the time of writing this, due to a regional shortage of chlorine, Seattle Parks and Recreation must make temporary adjustments to wading pool schedules. Spray park schedules remain unaffected at this time.

Wading pools will be on an alternating schedule to enable equitable distribution of the current supply of chlorine until more can be obtained. Some pools will operate from Saturday to Tuesday, and some from Thursday to Sunday.  For now, all wading pools will be closed on Wednesdays.

Wading pools are open on clear days with a forecast of 70 degrees or higher. Seattle Parks and Rec’s Facebook page is your best bet for the most updated information regarding wading pools.
