Seattle's Child

Your guide to a kid-friendly city

Where to get kids' haircuts around the Seattle area

These salons offer a little something extra: cute chairs, games, prizes and stylists who are experienced at working with kids.

Kids aren’t always excited for a trip to the salon — in fact, sometimes it can be a downright battle just to get a little trim. Before you resort to putting a bowl on their head and just doing it at home, consider one of these salons specifically aimed at treating kids’ tresses. Many of them employ stylists who are experienced in working with kids’ hair and making nervous clients more comfortable. Cut to everyone smiling, happy and stress-free!

SEATTLE

Kids Club Salon

Located inside the colorful and fun Kids Club toy store at University Village, this is a great spot to go if your kids respond well to rewards for getting their haircut — like a few minutes at the play area outside the store, or a toy from the shop. We love that they have a Baby’s First Hair Cut package with a cut, style, and keepsake card with a lock of your baby’s hair. For older kids, they can finish off their haircut with a fun style like a braid, sparkles, faux hawk or colored gel.
