Community-built Puget Ridge Park is going to get an upgrade to make its playground safer and more accessible.
Seattle Parks and Recreation has three upcoming events in which the public is invited to give input on parks renovation projects.
Be’er Sheva Park

Noon to 3 p.m. Saturday (June 2)
The Rainier Beach community is invited to a planning meeting and celebration for the Be’er Sheva Park improvement project. Possible improvements include better shoreline access, walkways and art installations. Here is the city's information page about that park project, and there's also a Facebook page.
Greenwood Park addition
8805 Fremont Ave. N.
2 to 5 p.m. Saturday (June 2)
People are invited to attend an open house in the park and provide input on the three design options for the addition to Greenwood Park. Additional land for the neighborhood park was purchased in 2013. There will be food and free activities. Here are more details on that project.
Puget Ridge Playground
6029 21st Ave. S.W.
4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday (June 6)
This is the final public meeting about renovations plans for the playground. Goals of the project are to enhance the community-built park features with accessible play structures for children ages 2-5 and 5-12. The intent is to maintain the charm of the small park while enhancing its safety and accessibility.
The project planner, project manager and landscape architect will be on hand from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the park. People are invited to review the schematic design and provide input. Go here to find more information on the project and the meeting.
