Family Volunteer Idea: “Socks for Seniors” Needs Drive Hosts

Through an annual community service project called Socks for Seniors, new socks are collected and distributed to the elderly in area nursing homes around the holidays. The program kicks off on Make A Difference Day – Saturday, Oct. 27 – and runs through Christmas.

Local area coordinators near Lynnwood are needed to help with collecting socks this year. Hosting a sock drive with your family is an easy way to help out in your immediate community. You can decorate a box, find a worthy location and promote the sock drive with family and friends.

To register your sock drive, visit www.socksforseniors.com/register.html. To learn more about the program, check out the Socks for Seniors website.
