In an upcoming presentation at the Stroum Jewish Community Center (3801 E. Mercer Way on Mercer Island), longtime parent educator Malka Maizel will discuss why kids fight and present strategies to minimize rivalry and conflict at home. She will also present tools to teach kids the social skills of conflict resolution and cooperation they need to develop into healthy and well-adjusted young adults.
The sibling rivalry "parent talk" will be held on Thursday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event cost is $15. Childcare is available on a limited, pre-registration basis only. To register, or for more information, visit www.sjcc.org.
